WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Technologist’s main responsibility is working with the Attain team of consultants and engineers to complete Revit and AutoCAD drafting, review drawings from Architects, and Mechanical and Electrical consultants, and assist in the technology reviews for telecommunications, security and audio-visual systems. The Technologist produces drawings for the schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction management RFI, SI sketches and close out documents. Using Attain standards, the technologist drafts, plots, organizes and assembles drawings that are reviewed by the project managers, and redlines, updates and submits winning documents.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of a 3-year Architectural Technology Program from a recognized college;
  • Ability to be Secret Cleared with the Canadian Government mandatory (10 years in Canada);
  • Experience in the Construction industry in particular, or Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Real Estate/Property Management or Government would be a great asset;
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (bilingualism Eng./Fr, an asset);
  • Proficient in MS Office, Revit (must have), and AutoCAD; MS Teams an asset;
  • Possess an understanding of building science, construction materials, construction methods, and architectural detailing (telecommunications, security and audio visual is an asset);
  • Possess a working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC);
